I stepped into my way-back machine last night and popped out with my Quake III cd. It was fun. Staying with the retro theme, tonight I'm installing BF2.

    frantic gameplay at times, though..
Good to know, that's one of the reasons i didn't get it at launch.

Damn didn't even know tha game was patched, let alone but up to 1.8. But then again I don't have the game.

Anyway right now I'm near the end of Metro 2033. I gotta say the graphics in some areas are quite impressive. Really nice looking game

God it was a pleasure to play BF2. I had forgotten what a game was supposed to feel like when it's made for the PC. I was able to set my turret speed for each type of vehicle... imagine that! You haven't heard the best part... I could go prone!!@$#

    Ahh, retro!! Red Alert, anyone?

Also, anyone play Imperium Galactica II? Amazing piece of gamery. Also, wondering if it's possible to run something like Civ I in XP Mode.

As far as new games--I really like Starcraft II. You can play a 10-20 minute game and be done. Or two, or five. It's easy to control the time you put into it. SupCom2 is similar and it feels like Command & Conquer. I also play Darkspore and some the good LAN games--TF2, L4D2, BF:BC2 (hate it tho), Monday Night Combat--(amazing with a lot of people). Can't forget racing games--Blur and TrackMania Nations are crazy awesome LAN games as well.
