Call of Duty 1 problem please help

    you kidding me? i dont see how having the latest drivers would change a game file. tho i do have the latest. and the system folders are shown and i always turn on show hidden files. but still no file. i can play without it, but i want to change it so i can play in widescreen

    I was referring to the fact that it might be a graphics driver issue other than "read-only" protection. Some games simply don't support widescreen resolutions. I see no other way to force the game to accept it, especially if the same thing didn't work with XP.

    no, this game desnt support it, but you can modify it with custom graphics settings using the Cofig.cfg file which is mising from my computer. my profile for Call of duty 4 is also missing aparently

Hi, I have windows 7 ultimate 64bit and i have a problem with changeing the resolution in CoDWaW, everytime i press ally to make it change the game freezes. This happens in both singleplayer and multiplayer. James
