hl2.exe error

    hl2.exe error


    everytime i exit out of css that msg pops up, i dont know if this has been posted when i search i cant seem to find it, i heard this may be a common problem but is there any work around it?

    Did you try using Compatibility mode? Running the game as admin?

    No I did not try that. just a simple right click properties

    Yes, definitely try them out, one at a time, then both. Poke around until you get it.

    i remember i tried running something else in compatibility mode. but i didn't have xp, all i had was vista vista sp2 and windows server i didn't see XP. this is when i was trying another application.

    Counter Strike runs through hl2.exe just like all Half-Life2 games, so it should work, as it did for me :)

    Gonna try this. I thought it was a RC problem, but I just went to the full version and it was still crashing.
    Ill post back if it fixes it :)
