    Disable the Windows Key


    Hi, does anyone know how to disable the windows key in windows 7? it always crashes my games if i acedently press it. I'm using build 7600 x64.

    What kind of keyboard do you have? I know Logitech's software allows you to disable it when you are gaming...

    haha it was the only keyboard i could find with backlighting and mechanical switches

    Ok...try this

    Made a quick reg key...it should work
    Disable Windows Key.reg

    Make sure you restart after applying the reg key above

    I read that one first....except it doesn't show you how to remove the Windows Key functionality in its entirely...

    Shawn...if you want to add the reg key I made to the tutorial...it disables that key entirely until you delete the key from the registry...
