Windows 7: aoe collectors problems

Well yeah so this is a common problem but i want a permannt fix i dont want to have to close explorer every damn time i play the game...

I run age of empires 2 the conquerors and there is color distortion. reds and purples where green should be yeah.. I have a 64 bit inspiron 537 with a radeon hd 4350 with 4 gigs of ram.. basically it sohuldnt be doing this. i want a permanant solution.

I also have an inspiron. If it is doing what you describe its the driver. Are you 32bit or 64?

64 bit but the driver was made for windows 7 it runs age of mythology perfectly ( they were made around the same time)

it fixes itself if i close explorer but i don't want to have to do that every time. my fiances game flal out two had the same problem and a patch was made for it can't you guys jsut make a patch for this too?

As you may have found on the other thread, there is a way you can get the game to automatically close explorer.exe. That is the fix for now. Remember Microsoft no longer support this game, XP was the last OS they supported the game on.

Out of interest, can someone make a sticky about AoE and the colour issues please? I think this is like the 5-6th thread about the same issue.
