I have a new install of cod2 in windows 7 64 bit and all seems well except microphone sound. People on multiplayer can not hear me or barely can if I yell. Any way to fix this problem. Head phone is usb Logitec with mic and I can hear fine.

have you tried in options of the game to setup sound of your mike and headphones? As I recall you have options for that
...or its in the Steam settings...try there....if you use Steam for online play go to Steam-Settings-Voice
and yea if you have some timer to switch mike on-off on your cable....check it out

Call of Duty 2 cd start-up Issue

I have x64 and it works fine. I just had to install in compatibility mode is all. So, yes, CoD 2 still works on 7. But when I checked multiplayer, no servers came up for me from the master server list. I'll look into it more, but last time I recall, a lot of people still play it.

There are a lot of servers and a lot of people still playing cod2. All works fine till you get in a game and no one can hear you over you head phone mic. I have heard of others with this problem too but no solutions.
    I have 7 home premium 64bit.

A lot of people still play - It's just still one of the best FPS games around.
Anyway I really don't know the first thing about computers but you might want to check how you connect to the server. When you join check that you are connected by Lan/Cable/DSL. When I reinstalled my game it had somehow switched to ISDN and I couldn't join any server anymore. Also If you have a gaming card, double check all the settings and update the drivers. Again I really don't know what I'm talking about!!!

    HELP?!

Hello everyone! new here.... I am a Mac guy convert a few years ago.

I recently bought a Alienware DT from Best Buy with win7 x64 home premium. Then took it back and tried a Dell XPS with win7x64H.P. neither one would run cod2. it just crashed right back to desktop as soon as I ran it. Some compatibility issue it said.

I did right click on the icons and told them run ion xp sp2 mode, tried sp3 mode, 98 etc. They all did it. I updated to the latest win7 video drivers etc.

    Any ideas?
