    Can't play Warcraft III TFT

Whenever I try to play Warcraft, my PC hangs, restarts, gets a blue screen or sometimes even a combination of all 3.

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Video Card: NVIDIA Geforce FX 5500
    DirectX Version: 11
    RAM: 1.50 GB

I just got the video card this afternoon and we let the technician install everything.

    Help please

    # Nvidia FX 5500 is not supported by windows7

This is the last driver for FX5500: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_96.85_2.html
Install the driver in vista compatibility mode

Must it be in Windows Vista only or service pack 1 or service pack 2?

Okay so at least it was able to show the aero theme now (last time it was just a solid light blue color) but my pc still hangs and restarts even while i'm at the desktop.

Run Warcraft3 in XP SP3 compatibility mode
    # Make sure you have installed direct X 9.0c because Warcraft3 needs it

    Update your chipset drivers

you brought a video card last week and its a 5500 FX? that card must be at least 5 years old surely.

if you had a really tight budget then I would have gone for a 7300GT or 8600GT.
