    Windows 7 64-bit editions.

Is there anything that I should know about 64-bit versions of Windows 7?

I'm experiencing alot of LAG while playing Left 4 Dead 1 & 2.

They both worked fine on Vista 32-bit.

Anything unique about 64-bit that I should know about?

see Windows 7 High Ping Fix try the first solution it may help, unless you're talking about graphics lag which from your system specs I doubt.

    Open command Promt as administrator

then type in netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled

    Thanks.

But neither solution worked. I still get audio Cracks and high ping. It might be the audio driver, or graphics driver.

Update the graphics card's drivers, then try checking a compatibility mode in Right click -> properties -> compatitbility mode -> Windows Vista / Xp.
    Also try running as admin.

And 64-bit OS's have more problems than 32-bit ones. But there are huge bonuses in using a 64-bit OS, and by 2014 it is estimated that 75 percent of companys will have moved to this platform.

I have narrowed it down to it being an Audio Driver issue. I have the latest Audio Driver installed, for my Realtek HD Audio ALC888, driver ver. R2.39.

When I disable the Realtek HD Audio in Device Manager, I can play the game without any LAG.

I would uninstall the driver if I could get another driver to replace it that worked.

The manufacturer of my computer hasn't release any Windows 7 drivers for any of their models, unless the model was shipped with Windows 7.

Realtek.com.tw/ is where I've been getting the driver. I'll just have to rely on them to fix it.
