Can I run a Game in Win 7 which is umcompatible with Vista?

I used to play Runaway in Vista but it did'nt open and it keeps me saying that "Error Starting DirectDraw" , but works fine in XP. Now if I play it in Windows 7 could it play. (I think it won't because Vista & 7 kernel is same. )

You could try running it in Win XP compatibility mode..

Ok, i tried every compatibily option that Vista has to offer but didn't succeed . But there are guys out in game forum that have been able to play on Vista.

hussanali, have you tried installing any Directx9 files yet? following link should install all of them :

Compatibility with Windows ME and run as administrator. this works on some games i know
