    Windows 7 X64 Build 7048 Gaming

Installed latest 7048 x64 build seems much faster on desktop than the 7000 beta. Also games seem to fly now crysis warhead seems to run even better than it did on xp x64 or vista x64. Anybody else gettin better gaming performance in this build over the previous builds and vista etc?

Yes I'm feelin it my man, first impressions the operating system feels more responsive and also games (except nfs undercover, which has poor coding) seem smoother and crispier.

    Post your hardware too!
I'm having problem with World of Warcraft ~Wrath of the Lich King~ under Windows 7 build 7048 x64. When I play in window mode, I maximize and play at really good frame rates, better than in Windows Vista SP1 x64. But, when I maximize another window in his background (used to open Firefox or Internet Explorer 8 so I can look for things in WoW Head, or when using WoW Cartographe), WoW slown down from 80 FPS to 5~10 FPS. I've to go back to my background application, minimize it, then minimize WoW and maximize it again so it goes back to work normally.
    I'm running all this in a Intel Core2Quad Q6600 with 6 GB. of RAM DDR2-800 CL5 and a E-VGA GeForce 8800GTS, using updated Windows Update's drivers.
Somebody got the same issue that I have?

I can tell that gaming from my computer has improved a lot.

I've been playing LONG sessions of Everquest 2, known to have pretty nice memory leaks and to hog the system a lot, and with W7, that never happened. System was responsive after many hours of play. FPS was pretty good both on window and full screen mode. Zonning times got a pretty nice boost from my vista experience, and now I'm usually first zoning one on groups

Will give a try to other games and post more comments.

    Have fun!
