Game not working ONLY since Win 7 registration

I have been using a very old F1 racing program (Grand Prix Legends) from 2002 or maybe even earlier with Win 7 with no problems for several weeks now. Now that I have heeded the repeated warnings from Microsoft and registered my copy of Win 7 last night I can no longer load this program!!!! Aside from the fact that my DVD drive no longer works, two of three printers no longer work and now my favorite driving simulator no longer works why the hell should I stick with this latest version and not go back to what was a trouble free XP? Oh yeah, because my DVD no longer works in Win 7 so I can't up or downgrade from this newest OS Microsoft.

Before you ask what changes have been made to my system within a week before the registration there have been NONE. Zip, Zero, Nada mods or changes of any type to my system. The registration is the ONLY change that has been made. NOW the program I want to use most no longer works!

Am I mad? Nah, I'm simply disgusted! Since "upgrading" to Windows 7 most of what I want to use doesn't work anymore. I guess I'm expected to spend hundreds and perhaps thousands on software and hardware upgrades to work with this latest nightmare from Microsoft.

I was "happy" with what was kind of "working" until I completed registration. Now since registration the only program I really cared about can no longer load!

I dont see how registration can affect the working of programs. You should try a system restore at the moment to fix this issue.

I don't understand it either. Absolutely ZERO changes before or since registration. A system restore would probably only put off the registration date for a day or two at best. Then I'll have the same issue! That's NOT a fix!

I just tried RealFlight and it no longer works either. With two programs so far that worked before registration and no longer working I guess I'm just ranting. Hmmm.....

Did you try system restore? If no, then just reinstall those games which are not working.

Please help me understand why I should have to go through all of this after two programs worked just fine. I registered my copy of Windows 7 and now they don't work anymore? I now need to do a system restore and or re-install both programs!? C'mon. That's way beyond ridiculous!

Data corruption can happen to the best of us at anytime and for any number of reasons. The fact that you just registered Windows 7 and then this happened could be just pure coincidence.

I know you made it perfectly clear that you have done no changes at all, but has Automatic Update made any changes without you realising maybe? You might not have to reinstall the above mentioned two programs/games if you just run System Restore and start back-tracking each update that might have happened.
