VISTA Ultimate to Windows 7 ultimate issues.. wit gamin

Ok, Its either gotta be that Windows have may changes in the O/S for gaming or there just could be something wrong with my computer... I DON"T GET IT.

First of all, I had windows vista, CPU over clocked playing all my games with out a drama, (steam, cs, tf2, l4d, COD4) the games started without issue and can play straight away.

Now move over to Windows 7 maybe 3 out of 5 times, I will go into a game, the computer thinks, splashes to the black screen to go into game and yep nothing. Computer freezes and I have to restart my computer.

(COMPUTER SPECS are below) Everything is up to date. drivers etc. I have 9.12 cat drivers.

I"M AT A LOST, i'm considering selling my windows 7 to go back to vista something i know that works.

Can anyone help me by any chance?

Is there something that vista has that windows 7 doesnt?
    And
Anyone out there who has a same type of setup do you have these issues?

    Cheers

Did you do a clean install or an upgrade to install Windows 7?

If you did an upgrade, the easiest and most secure thing to do is to reinstall Windows 7 as a clean install and everything should work properly. It has been said many times before, but let me repeat it once again: Most of the people that used an upgrade option instead of clean instal when setting up 7 has some kind of bad experience with the OS, so the first and most important thing to do is to "start fresh". Do a clean instal, if that doesn't solve your problem, post back and we'll see what to do next.

I'm no expert but perhaps the CPU being overclocked is causing it? Just a thought.

Start by updating your keyboard + mouse drivers and then update the rest with the guide in my sig. Underclock your cpu back to stock and have a look here ata athread I posted, all of these games run fine:
