    GTA San Andreas

    HI,
I decided i wanted to play gta SA again after a fair while, I havent played it since i had xp on my old laptop.
It installed ok, no error messages etc.
Now when I run the game the disk spins for a short while and then it stops, there's no mention of gta sa in the task manager.
I've looked around the net and tried to run it in XP S2 compatability mode but it still does the same thing.

Does anyone have a solution to get it running?

    thanks

Download Process Explorer and then see if the game is listed with a rundll32.exe file. If it is, right click the main executable and select kill process tree. Then open up games explorer and see if is starts from there. You can try right-clicking and selecting run as administrator.

well, it is listed for a brief period while the disk is spinning like i said in the first post, then it goes, i did try and catch it while it was there and clicked kill process tree but it did nothing.
Then i went into games explorer, run as adminstrator and it did the usal thing.
