they need to fix this asap (aero and vsync)

i finally found out why my aim was suddenly terribad in all my games. it's because aero has vsync on so your windows dont tear about when you drag em but this means when you play any game in windowed mode you will have vsync applied to that and progam0rs know that you cant kill much with that stuff on. i demand an option to disable vsync within aero. i do not want to change the desktop theme all the time to windows basic like we have to do now to fix this issue.

edit: you might say wtf use fullscreen its better anyway but team fortress 2 windowed with no border is the best thing since sliced bread. "tabbing" out of that is fast as hell - same goes for world of warcraft. also that flip 3d thing works with the games which is really cool. but vsync is a no go

I always play my games full screen with Vsync enabled, I hate when you get tearing, IMO it totally spoils the game and with 60Fps why wouldn't you.

Anyway that's my preference, but if you have an Nvidia card you can go to the control panel and force off.

yeah but thats because your not a "pro gamer" then with vsync your mouse movement isnt as resposive. you cant do 180° turns to fire somebody in the face as easily. and that nvidia force off stuff doesnt work on the desktop which means in windowed games. it didnt for me anyways.

I myself am not a pro-gamer but I do play Battlefield 2142 online and other FPS. Always have Vsync on, I hate tearing.

Why would you want to play in windowed mode anyway? I'd rather wait a few more seconds really...

CSS and Left 4 Dead play fine for me like that.

lol... all day long

mate, i would class myself as a ''pro-gamer'' & i can assure you (as MrGrim has stated) the only reason ''v-sync'' would be disabled is where the framerate is too low to support it properly....

trust me, catch me on COD4 & i will show you having ''v-sync'' enabled wont stop me from annihilating ya....lol

& i don't know any gamer worth his salt who plays in windowed mode..?? but what do i know ??....

You can't really be a self proclaimed "pro gamer" in reality
