Empire Total War, can you run it?

Hello everyone! excelent forum. I have a problem with Empire Total War:

    I have this computer:

    AMD X2 6000+
    2gb ram
    nvidia 8600gts
    Windows 7 build 7057

I can't run Empire Total War full version.I've tried with compatibility modes and "run as administrator", I reinstalled directx and I installed the last drivers of Nvidia.

    Can you help me?
    sorry for my english.

PD: I installed Football Manager 2009 and works perfect! I suggest to put in the compatibility list.

    Boxed, doesn't run as well.

more precise: it opens, then gives me a black screen.
When I check my task-manager, it has stopped loading stuff into the ram, the amount of stuff loaded varies between 12mb and 16mb so it seems a bit random

Hey guys, did someone tried it with build 7100?

I'll get a new PC this week and this will decide if I put Vista 64 or Win7.
