Display Problem for Games

When I play some games like NFS Most Wanted. Left and Right edges of the screen are black. I mean the game's display is only that much. Without covering the full widescreen. I tried all combinations of screen resolutions and the display settings in the game. Nothing works out. Still the problem persists. Help me out. Thanks.

I'm having Windows 7 HP (64 bit) in Dell 15.6 Inch Widescreen.

I think this is the answer to your problem.

The answer refers to a TV,

but just as applicable to your wide screen.

I am sorry that this is obviously

no the answer that you wanted

but at least you know and you can

adjust to playing the game

with this limiation.

Take Care

Display Issue for Games
After trying a few games (Warcraft 3, CnC Generals), I see that 7 takes into account widescreen resolutions for games that don't support them. It will black out the pixels it doesn't use so it's still fullscreen and doesn't stretch the picture out. But after running the graphics config for Dawn of...
