    Issue with battle.net

On builds 7057 and 7068 battle.net refuses to work on StarCraft (BroodWar) as well as WarCraft III (Frozen Throne). Basics were tried, such as turning off UAC, firewall, I dont see any abnormal crashes when I try to play online, but both games immediately refuse to work and throw me back to the main menu, they're not even trying so I think that eliminates a problem with the actual battle.net servers.

    Error:
    Cannot connect to battle.net

Suggests firewall or problem with battle.net servers.

    I haven't had any issues with Battle.net on WC3 running build 7057 x64.

I seem to be having the same problem, Warcraft III (ROC)

    What I have tried:

    Re-Re-installing,
    Resetting Router,
    Turning Firewall Off,
    Turning UAC Off,
    Update to latest patch,
Use BattleNet Registry Fix (reset battle.net servers to defaults),
    Third Party WC3 Fixer

Not completely sure if this would be a problem, Could some background service in Windows 7 be using a port required for Battle.net?

From my understanding, underneath .NET Remoting uses a TCP connection, which should take the use of a port (or two). So, could there be some service in the back ground using a Remoting object using up a special port. (Just an idea, could be a load of bollocks, or some other error...)

For some reason it just decided to start working... ( I did a little bit of hardware manipulation, perhaps just a restart was required..)

Is there any fix for this?

I can't connect to battle.net, if you cancel it just hangs.
