Coolio's List of Good Freeware Games

Well, I have tons of games I play on my PC and all of them are FREE!

I just wanted to brag about my favorite freeware games and introduce some of you to some good, free PC fun.

NOTE: I am lazy...period. So I just copied and pasted information from each game's respective websites but I do promise each game is a good play.
ANOTHER NOTE: Some of these games, like TAG and Prism, haven't been updated in a while but still work with Win7 perfectly.

    --TAG--
    LINK!
Tag delivers an innovative approach to multiple genres—platformer, puzzle, and first-person shooter—by allowing the player to manipulate the physical attributes of the game's environment using different colors of paint.
In this first-person shooter, players have one weapon: a large super-soaker loaded with a never-ending supply of paint. By traversing levels and solving puzzles, players gain access to additional paint colors. The player can then change the physics of the level as those colors are used to paint the surfaces of each level.

    --Prism--
    LINK!
The Army National Guard and Rival Interactive are creating a first person 3D shooter called PRISM: Guard Shield that contains a unique blend of stealth operations and fast action game play. The game focuses on the unconventional application of new and emerging weapons and surveillance technologies in the war against terrorism. PRISM takes place in the near future with the player becoming the newest member of a highly secretive homeland defense unit known as PRISM. PRISM: Guard Shield focuses on familiar locations in the US such as Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, CA. When terrorist activities are suspected or potential targets are identified, players are called into action.

    --Prometheus--
    LINK!
Prometheus is a mission-based, single-player co-op game in the spirit of “Portal” and “Mirror's Edge.” By using the Prometheus Device, players bend the laws of Einsteinian physics using the theory of quantum states, meaning that goals are accomplished by completing missions with your past, present and future selves.
You'll need to keep your wits about you and your memory sharp in solving puzzles presented with this unique game play mechanic. Progression through the story introduces new challenges, with tasks increasing in difficulty, and a final dramatic conclusion questions present loyalties and even your own existence.

    --8-bit Killer--
    LINK!
Prepare to feel the 8bits as they felt years ago!
8bit killer is a first person shooter styled to resemble a NES game in look and feel.
32x32 pixel textures, 64 color nes palette and 1bit sounds make this game look like an early 90s game. The soundtrack has been created by the genius RushJet1. The story, characters and scenes are inspired by films like Mad Max or 2013: Rescue in LA and by games like Contra, Megaman, Bionic Commando, Metroid, Catacomb 3D or the sequel Wolfenstein 3D, and many others.

--Sam & Max: Abe Lincoln must die!--
    LINK!
The president's lost it. Federally mandated group hugs, a pudding embargo... what's next, gun control? Sam & Max are off to Washington to take care of this bozo, but the political climate will only get stormier... and a new power will rise...

Very cool.. I am getting Prism to try. I like the idea that your list has some games that have a Single Player (offline) mode. Are there any games on the list that are multiplayer only?

cs2d is very fun and is only multiplayer. It's a free top-down version of CS.
