Almost everything that can be played in Vista can be Played with windows 7

If you visit the Microsoft compatiblity center, you can get the official determination.

    Hopefully this will help

I have 2 favorite games that played on XP working just fine in 7 x64. What I like might not be your cup of tea so it's a compatibility question with what you like. richc46 is correct though most games you used with Vista should be ok.

I haven't come across a Windows 7 compatibility issue yet with any of my games, and I'm also using the 64-bit version.

I just purchased a Radeon 5870 graphics card, and it came with DiRT 2, which is one of the first DirectX 11 games. I think it's awesome!

Also, ever play Unreal Tournament 3? It's a fun first-person-shooter; that's probably my favorite game right now (it uses DirectX 10).

As far as good games go, I recommend The Sims 3 and Cave Story. Cave Story is actually a free game, and really good, if you're into that kind of thing. I'll leave a link.

Just so you know, I am mortally upset that I cannot play Shadow Warrior aka Lo Wang on Windows 7 X64..

Just bare in mind that x32 can still use earlier program architectures.
But I might aswell say, anything past 2001 works on Windows 7 that I've tried, and thats alot of games.
Hell theres even shells that you can use to play Day of the tentacle and older games.

*oh and my starcraft won't work at all..

And if need be, the link below is (what appears to be) a complete list of PC games, sort organise (by rating I guess..) through there to look at stuff you think is interesting, all I do when I Feel like getting new games =p Either that or check out IGN.com they are basically the same people.
