I'm afraid the only way to deal with a bad graphic card is to get another. RAM isn't able to do the work of a gpu, and there's just no way around that reality.

you know the old way of running games is does make the graphics really bad but it runs it more off ram than the graphics card the way that xp and 98 ran games.

a lot of those older games relied more on the cpu than the gpu and therefor you could use excess ram to muscle through them. today's games are gpu intensive and therefore the trick you are talking about will not work. on a side note you may be able to go into your bio's and allow the integrated graphics to use more of your ram and improve performance a little but don't expect miracles.

Wow, you are talking about a good old fashioned RAMDRIVE. That is one I have not tinkered with for a long, long time (since Win98). Talk about a Blast from the past.... Deja Vu all over again.

..but the others are correct, The ram drive would work for CPU intensive games, but for the newer GPU games you would need graphics help..and a RAMDRIVE would not do much there.

Lots of info out there: http://www.google.com/search?source=...10&oq=ramdrive

Good Luck, let us know how it works for you
