How could that laptop be considered a gaming laptop when it doesnt even have any dedicated video memory?

Obviously it can't because the page does not exist

"Gateway - Laptop with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor - NightSky Black"

    Gateway - Laptop with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor - NightSky Black - NV7802U

It can be considered a 'gaming laptop' because it's called marketing

Well its the only computer thats in that category without dedicated video memory.

And i found out that best buy wants to be a b***h and not let me post direct links. It had 6 GB DDR3 memory, and Intel GMA 4500MHD with Graphics Intergration 5.0.

I just found out that its impossible to get a RLY good gaming laptop under 700. I have found that you can get a pretty good one for about 800 though. Would you belive that if i told you?

What section was this laptop under?, the only I could find in the gaming section was the one I linked.

And yes, proper gaming laptops aren't cheap.

It was under Laptop Computers>Gaming Laptops

It was a Gateway. Just search NV7802U and it should come up.

I also heard that to be considered a gaming laptop, a MINIMUM is 512 MB GDDR2. Even then you can only get medium performace for a good FPS count, on games like Cod6, or ME2, so i hear.

In other words, the exact same machine I linked to?

Can it play games, yes. Can it play games well, not even if it tried real hard,

Notebookcheck: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (GMA X4500MHD)

You want to game on a laptop avoid anything that has Intel graphics in it.

I purchased a pretty nice one. found it online and went and bought it at Best Buy. If you have the time to have it shipped, you can find much better choices online. or build one from Dell Online to fit your specs.

Agreed. I found that exact chipset in a lot of computers. It was very hard to find gaming laptops with low cost and a dedicated GPU. I am glad i researched this before I made a purchase as well.

The customer reviews for that laptop are hillarious ....and a little sad at the same time

Yeah you are going to pay some bucks for a good gaming.

I bought this computer when I was in Iraq.

    Toshiba Satellite X205-S9349
I paid 1700 for a 256 dedicated video card and it was with 2 gigs of ram.

When I was reading some of the reviews. I was laughing.

"When I got this computer. I got it for gaming.... Dissapointing factors... video card wasn't so great..." *lol*

I am not sure if he is telling the truth. I have a 256 dedicated with 4 gigs of gaming ram and my Left 4 dead has its blimishes.

I generally find that the word "gaming" when attached to a product is very nearly meaningless. Whether we're talking about mice, keyboards, or computers it's the same. Just pay attention to the specs as they will tell you its capabilities.
