    Major Steam Beta UI Update


    I thought I would share this major development with Steam today

    I dont want to give away all the surprises and hidden things.

    If you want to try it out, goto settings and on your account tab select Beta Partitipation and join the beta

    They also dumped IE from the overlay and Steam and use WebKit and Chrome as their web rendering engine

    Any "gaming" issues? Hate to try this out only to find my games no longer work! My beta testing days aren't what they used to be. No patience.

    Overlay performance is way better and I have yet seen any problems with my games.

    I would love to. Since it's the first public Beta released, there's nothing more to expect. The most known bug and perhaps biggest is most people can't even open steam because it crashes as soon as it starts, me included. You can take a look at their forum for other bugs and solutions. The Steam 2010 UI update - Steam Users' Forums
    The biggest bugs is suppose to be fixed within an hour or two.

    Edit: The fix is out already.
