    Batteries

I have been in a game and had the battery die on my logitech cordless. there is an indication light on the top, but it didn't draw nearly as much attention to itself until I couldn't move....
Yes, there is that required "extra" step in keeping the batteries charged I suppose. I guess using that fandangled thing they call a "battery charger" works

My battery charge usually lasts at least 24 hours during heavy use and I always ensure I place the mouse in the charger before leaving the computer. It's just a habbit for me.

sygnus, I have seen mice that have a charging port, but I don't have one of those. the batteries last about a month usually then die. I have tried rechargable ones, but they die quick. So keeping the mouse charged up was not an option in my case.

Anywho....my wife when she bought me this mouse for Christmas (shes awesome) She said "i know you like your wireless mouse, but I couldn't find any good ones that were wireless" and I said "thats normal. gaming mice should be corded because battery death is not fun" <--or something along those lines

That's fine. I was just making the case for cordless mice. Too each his own. No harm no foul.

    It's all good

Same here and I like the cordless mice more than corded mice, but that changed when I died ingame due to batteries. I have 2 mice on my desk one is the gaming mouse for when I do game, the other is a cordless mouse/keyboard setup. this and a 5.1 speaker system and 22" LCD are hooked up to my laptop. Makes for a nice gaming environment. I have the G9 and it has been great for me. I have seen some bad reviews so I hope mine holds up.

Once you get used to one of these you won't want a mouse anymore.
I have 3 that I've had for 6 - 7 years now for my machines and they have never failed me.
I've had trackballs for years. I have the Trackman Explorer from Microsoft. While I prefer a trackball for daily activities...I cannot game with mine at all. I'm far more accurate with a normal mouse.

Is that a trackball in the thumb area?

If so, I for-saw that being an issue...nvm I just looked at it.

It looks like it's angled too far fwd and you can't roll your fingers level across it
    I wouldn't like that either.

Maybe I'll dig out my old Commodore 64 trackball and see if I can re-wire it and add some buttons.

Amazon is drunk on prices I see.

I'm fond of wired mice (because they don't run out of battery power), so I went with...a Logitech LX3.

    Stop laughing.

I just use a standard DELL mouse, alongside my Belkin n52te, that sucker costs like $100, I got it for 25 brand new at a 2nd hand shop, the owner had no clue what it was! XD I'm thinking about getting a real gaming mouse.

while the LX3 lacks gaming features it is a good mouse, it's responsive and has a nice comfortable form factor for general use. i hate the "claw" form i see on a lot of new gaming mice like the G9.
