I use a Logitech MX1000 for gaming. I love the shape and weight of it.
I loved gaming with that mouse. I don't game much on my desktop anymore but when I do, man it feels really slow for me now! I've been spoiled by gaming on my lappy w/my Razer Orochi.

The two things I like about the Orochi is that it's wired (4k dpi max) and wireless (bluetooth, 2k dpi max).

The con for me on it is that there's no rechargeable batteries included.

    • Corded - For some it's common sense, for others it should be mentioned--get a mouse with a cord.
    Can you explain your "opinion"?

I myself have been using Logitech cordless mouse for quite a few years now and have never had a gaming/performance issue.

    Since 2002...
Logitech Optical Trackman - 2 years
    Logitech MX 1000 - 3 years
Logitech MX Revolution - Nov 07 till present

While there's nothing wrong with a corded mouse I personally prefer cordless.
Not my opinion, nor am I saying your choice is good or bad. But I'll just chuck a little fact in for the hell of it.

    Wireless Latency = Lag input

Since the signal is wireless, there is a delay in processing the signal from the mouse to the receiver. This results in a 'lag' between the input (moving the mouse) and what what happens on the screen.

Corded mice don't have this latency/lag input since the signal is instantaneous.

For some it's a big deal, and for others like yourself, it's not an issue at all. (No doubt you've adapted long ago)

Newer wireless models have improved on the latency, but a corded mouse will always have the advantage in this area.

    - oddly enough, my G9 is as tough as nails, lots of useful buttons, has lovely weight and is incredibly accurate..

    - shame that..

I used to use all the Logitech mice a couple of years back but then i bought a Razer Deathadder Scan.co.uk: RZ01-00151400-R3G1 - Razer Deathadder Re-Spawn Mouse, 3500dpi 3.5G Infrared Sensor All i can say is awesome. Infrared > Laser and definitely wired > wireless. If you are serious about gaming then there is no second place to these options really.

This mouse combined with the Razer Tarantula Keyboard and wow. Just WOW!

Yeah, screw wireless for gaming. My pc downstairs has a wireless and on the off chance that I play a game on it I notice considerable lag. Drives me crazy especially when I'm used to playing with my MX 518. Corded is the only way to go for a gaming mouse. Impossible to not have lag with a wireless.
