Old one but good one-Fear Combat

Hello,so i installed FEAR Combat and i am unable to patch to v1.08 autopatch doesnt work and the patches ive downloaded (tried US & UK) say Fear Combat isn't installed??,anyone got this to work???

What version is FEAR Combat currently at?

If it's already at 1.07, then perhaps try running the patch in XP SP2 compatibility mode.

Also, it's a long shot, but try copying the patch to the FEAR installation directory and running it from there.

Does FEAR Combat appear under Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features ?

Thanks,just found a working patch (after hours trawling)from here,installed 1st time-
http://files.filefront.com/fearcomba.../fileinfo.html

It change the desktop icon from green to orange showing it had updated
