    Ghost Recon : Future Soldier

Looks like Fall of 2010 release!
I thought Ubi killed off this series. Bet it'll have osp-drm though.

Another classic UBI FAIL... spend 10M on a Movie Trailer that is not even from the game itself, bamboozle people into buying Splinter Cell Conviction (yet another failed game according to what I read), delay the game until March 2011 for fear of competition from COD:BO + MOH + Halo bashing your skull and say Nothing of the Beta... whether it will be out in the summer of 2010 just like advertised, delayed much like the game or it will never happen.

I feel sorry for those who paid 50 o 60 bucks for the GRFS Beta and got a free copy of Conviction, or the other way around depending on whether or not you are a glass Half full kind of guy! only to see that money go to waste.

Say what you will about me getting my HatorAde in a bunch when it comes to UBI but, C'mon, how can you back a company that craps all over their fanbase, adds a little sugar on top of the pile and calls it a candy?

Well by having purchsed 1/2 dozen or so games by Ubisoft is your definition of backing a company then all I can say is I mentioned the genre having been a fan of the prior versions. As they played well and like a few select other genres that were moddable to a point.
As far as what they are shelving now, I cannot fully digest due to the drm-osp. Of which I refuse to buy a title branded with regardless of the company. But since you mentioned it, Ubisoft. Much like Silent Hunter V, a poll done on another fan based forum shows at least 25% and I are not such a small majority as I would have thought. Granted that is just one title, but to see good players treated like potential criminals and having sold a beta bugged release only to then depend on modders and patches I may protest Ubi as well, to a point. However the intention was the demise of the new permanent internet connection required scheme, not the demise of the game or the company developing it. I'd say the same 25% want's the game to succeed. And so the old adage hit them where it hurts the most, in the wallet. But in the end a room full of well dressed exec's look at numbers and could give a **** about the fan base. So I'm loosing faith fast. I would be upset with the company that in the end (pun intended) shafting me out of enjoying a genre. But that is my opinion and choice btw, and I also have better things to do then argue on an internet forum with you, or wait for them to offer a patch so they can obtain my 39$. I think they do to. Good day.

My comment on Backing UBI was not ment towards you or to insult you, we each have a right to post or reply with whatever we want to say, hence, why I posted what I posted, it was geared towards the general population... sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you or your post.

I also grew up with Ghost Recon & Rainbow Six (the originals), then Far Cry, hence, why I am so sore that UBI has crapped all over the Franchise, be it with the dumb down series that followed (GRAW & Vegas) and now Future Soldier.

Don't even get me started on the new DRM Fiasco, we already have a thread on it and I said what I needed to say .

Again, my apologies if you felt insulted, that was never my intention.
