Emulators on Win 7 64 Bit

he means vital for it running at tip top. it would run on slower drives, but it would not run as well.

Yes. The laptop is OK - but I wouldn't buy it.

So, how bad is it?

And I don't really see what the hard drive has to do with how well the OS runs. Then again, I know little to nothing about Operating Systems. And I thought Core 2 Due 2.2 was more than enough to run any OS flawlessly.

OS, just enough, emulators, possible stutter. The HDD is vital - 7 is constantly indexing and programs will start up faster along with 7 with a better spin speed. There is no excuse for not getting a 7200RPM drive. The difference in cost for Toshiba would be trivial. Take a look at the ultraportable in my specs - I have no issues with 7, apart from the 2 GPU's and lack of new drivers.

Yeah, the problem is, I live in a small town, and the local stores don't exactly sell high-end laptops. The Toshiba Satellite A500-1DN comes with a GT 230, the most powerful graphics card in town. This is the only laptop I can buy.

But, if 7 works fine with it, I'm okay with it.

most places dont sell much anymore, hence we use the Internet to order everything XD

It will be fine, but there are better laptops out there.
