xbox 360 wireless Controller support with FF11

I have just purchased a xbox 360 wireless controller for windows. I have installed the latest driver and software. But the triggers and the rumble dont work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Also, i have ready on other websites about custom firmware for the controller to enable those features for that game, but i havnt tried it out yet because i dont want to install any unnecessary 3rd party softwares.

Anyone know anything about this issue?

Do the Xbox 360 Controller triggers and rumble feature work on any other games besides FFXI?

I am experiencing the same issues. I have set up the controller to all appropriate customization settings and still can not get the triggers and rumble feature to work. Rumble is not really an issue, I generally turn it off on FFXI. However, not having access to the Left and Right Triggers means that I can not access my macros. Which makes playing the game with the controller more difficult.

Granted, I could always swap the buttons around so that they work on the Left and Right Bumpers, but that would remove the Auto-Run and other features that are set accordingly.
