The single player campaign is fun and in one of the cut scenes they make fun of Modern Warfare 2.
You are in a jungle, then in the snow, then the desert, then to a rural area, and that is where I am.
I am probably 4 hours into the SP, just taking my time. | My System Specs |

I'm going to go see if I can get a demo but, as far as I know, the demo is only for MP play? is that true? and if so... that's not going to give me an answer as I am more of a Campaign SP-Type gamer. The single player is very good when compared to MW2; it's longer, more polished and it's clear they put some effort into the game. You'll be blown away by the sound. However, first and foremost, Battlefield (the series) is a multi-player game, so it doesn't stack up well against true single player games... because it's not. | My System Specs | | OS 7 Ultimate x64 CPU i5-2500k Motherboard Asus P8P67 Pro Memory 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH 1866MHz 8-9-8-24 Graphics Card EVGA GTX 570 SC Sound Card X-Fi Titanium Fatality Monitor(s) Displays Samsung S27A550H 27" LED Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard MS Natural Elite 4000 Ergonomic Mouse Logitech G500 PSU PC Power & Cooling Silencer 760 Case Lian Li Lancool K62 Cooling Thermalright Venomous X Black/Scythe S-Flex/Shin-Etsu X23 Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 3 120GB.

I got it running and I must say that it really is a mindblowing game. The sound is stunning and the graphics are well done. I'm really digging the SP campaign. If they can just get the connection issues worked out it would be a 10. At least they acknowledge the issue and are working to get a patch out quickly. We have our server up. I'm running a GTS 250 and it's all I can do to get 40 FPS at 1600x1200 running DX 10. I went into the config.ini and changed directx from auto to 9 and that gave me an extra 30 frames. Nvidia just released a new set of drivers for BC2 sli support. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 945 Motherboard ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI Memory 8 GB G-Skill 1.5v DDR 3 1333Mhz Graphics Card (2) MSI 512MB GTS 250 SLI Sound Card Soundblaster Audigy 2 platinum Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 2255BW 22" Screen Resolution 1650 x 1050 Keyboard Zboard Merc Mouse Logitech MX-518 PSU Antec TP-750. That is a bit steep at least the minimum aren't to high (NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT/ATI X1900), I think my card 4670 will be able to run it okish, but I'm getting a 5750 next month, so I'll probably wait till then to buy it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built OS Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) CPU Intel I5 2500K 3.3Ghz Stock Motherboard Asus P8H 61-M LE USB 3 Memory 8Gig Kingston DDRIII HyperX Blue 1333 Mhz Graphics Card Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 460 OC Sound Card Creative Fatality Pro Monitor(s) Displays 27" BENQ LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Some Logitech type. It isn't your card that is holding the game back, it is your dual core CPU. The game is optimized for quads, and to make it worse for dual cores the audio is all done on the CPU so a good chunk of one is taken up with that.
For what it's worth I get the same sort of performance. If nothing else this is the excuse I have been looking for for moving to a quad (grabbing a x4 925 in the next week or so). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Win 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Phenom II x4 955 @ 4 GHz. Works for me, have it set to one of the thumb buttons on my G5. FWIW had it in teh same place in the beta, and it worked no problem.
