    Counter strike problem

I've got installed Windows7 home pro on my machine.
Everything works fine, but Counter strike is making some fps mistakes.
In Counter strike i get 60fps(which is normal for me). But every 1-2seconds those fps falls down to 9fps, so it lags a bit. And that is happening all teh time.
What is the problem? I've got the newest drivers and fx5200 nvidia card(dont say, that the problem is card, it have runned normaly previous month, when windows7 wasn't reinstalled). This happens only in Counter Strike 1.6.

    Hi noskas16,

Are you trying to use OpenGL? Here's a video tutorial for that: YouTube - How to play CS 1.6 with OpenGL in Windows 7 (Nvidia users only)

You might also wanna try the solutions in this thread: Counter Strike 1.6 ... such as disabling Desktop Composition: Desktop Composition - Disable for a Program

    Cheers,

Are you saying that it ran just fine in W7 before you reinstalled it, or that it ran fine in XP?

Either way, try turning off Aero and all other desktop effects. Turn your graphics settings in the game down, CPU and GPU heavy.

If this does not help, perhaps try a repair or reinstall of the game.

If you did install and run it just fine on W7 before, then something has changed with your new install. Have you added different drivers or programs? Again, perhaps just a reinstall of the game might help.
