Problem with Dragging Cards in Spider Solitaire

I don't know the best place to post this problem. I had a Dell Inspiron 530 that I upgraded a month ago from Vista to 7. I only noticed this problem last week. I haven't installed any new software since upgrading to 7.

This problem is most noticeable playing a game like Spider Solitatire. When I try to drag a card from one pile to another, the mouse tends to drop it unless I move very slowly and deliberately. It mostly affects moving from the right to the left. I could live with this, but it also affects some of the other programs that I work in; Adobe InDesign CS3 for one. In ID, it also causes problems like suddenly switching from InDesign to another open program.

All my drivers have been updated. I've run SpyBot, AdAware and I've done scanned for viruses.

Does using a USB mouse fix the issue?

    Mouse problems on Spider Solitaire

I too have problems with Spider solitaire. The mouse drops or sometimes will not grab the card. Sometimes it is from left to right sometimes the other way around. Sometimes the game flickers and throws the cursor somewhere else. Also when I bring the mouse over to the deal pile it pushes it away. Also I have problems bringing the game up from the taskbar. I have to click on the pic instead of the bar and then sometimes this doesnt work and I have to bring it up from the list of options. It almost seems like a video problem. Any one have any ideas?

Cards REALLY dragging in Spider Solitaire

Slow-down to nothing on both my Vista Acer (all the time), and my Win7 Dell occasionally (booting changes this, so it seems like memory gets full, although I have 6GB!) Can't even play the game anymore.

Bummer--now what do I do while I'm on hold???

Using USB mouse. Tried defrag, full cleanup, anti-malware up to date, SFC /scannow on the Acer without change. Suggestions?

    Same problem

I had the same problem. It appears to have been solved by resetting the statistics to zero.

I had the same frustrating problem. What I found that works is to click on the single card or the top card in the run you wish to move. If your click worked, you should have a sort of highlighted halo around the single card or the entire run you wish to move. Then click on the card you wish to deposit the cards onto and the cards should transfer. It sure was a blessing for me to have discovered it. Hope it works for you out there. Aaron A.

I also had this problem. It seemed like a graphics problem when I watched it. It was the mouse. I replaced the mouse and every part of this problem went away. I bought an inexpensive gaming mouse, because gaming mice are the ones that do a better job at doing what regular mice do. Everything that seemed like a software / graphics problem went away when I changed mice.
