The store manager is "misinformed" It is a duo core processor.

BTW I have a Q6600 (duo processor) and haven't had to use the duo processor tweak to run the game. And Fallout 3 IS compatible with Duo Core processors. Fallout: Welcome to the Official Site. Note recommended requirements.

you have solved my problem! Thank you! I was able to locate the text and change it. My game does not freeze now, however if I may; i run it under disable desktop composition under compatibility am I able to turn this off now? Does it really affect the game at all? If no change is needed then great! Thanks again for the support

That's great.
Although, I'd use it for a while and see if it really did the trick just to be sure.

You can if you want, but you don't have to change your other settings. Should be just fine to leave them as is. The disabling of desktop compostion while the game is running, will just give your GPU a little more juice to run the game, not having to supply it for aero.

Okay it works fine I was able to complete the game without having the previous trouble much, the only thing i encountered really was when a huge event happened too many times at once (Like a bombarding for example) I would sometimes get a nvidia driver crash forcing my fallout to crash along with it. These times were rare, however; So I do not see a threat to that.

uhm im having the same issue about a minute into gameplay i wanna say it freezes up on me. i have a couple of mods installed but before installing the game they didn't cause the freeze up. i have the latest version of fallout 3 installed and ive used fo3edit to check to make sure there were no errors which there are a few with some conflicts but none that would cause the game to freeze as far as i can tell. ive done the INI edit because i happen to have an i3 intel core processor and i know my computer can handle it as i used to play it all the time on it prior to the reinstall. the only reason for the reinstall was because for some reason the meshes were getting all weird when i move around couches changed styles and walls changed design it was strange.

Did you use Fo3Edit to create a merged patch? Also, make sure its checked and loads last in the load order in FOMM?

Sometimes, even small conflicts between mods can cause freezes or crashes. The merged patch is always good ise with mods, and should help make sure they all work together properly.
