Windows 7: GTA4 lag

Ok I just upgraded to Windows 7 pro, and I must say I enjoy it. Moved my save file over all is good, but it lags now. The loading is slower too. Is it because Windows 7 actually uses my ram, or is there more to it? If I turn off Vsync it runs smoother but with page tearing. What can I do?

I found that in power options, if you dont have it set to high performance, the fps will drop....so check that first.

go to startmenu
type into searchbar "power options"
make sure "High Performance" is current power profile

It is set to high performence. I just found somewhere I should have at least 3gb ram for vista. I also noticed on Game o meter my rating dropped. It must be some lack of ram. Street fighter 4 runs perfect. I haven't tried much else on my steam account though.

I too have the same issue, a lot of lag and sometimes a GTA IV Fatal error saying it has run out of video memory. I didn't have this problem with XP. I shall be watching this topic for solutions (if there are any)

Its not a lot, but it is enough to cause annoyance. I set the process to above avrg in task manager and it got 100% better. Try that.
