ATI Black borders in games

I get black borders when I am playing some games, I get it in Prototype for all resolutions and some resolutions in BC2. I never get black borders when I was using Nvidia cards. I tried underscanning, overscanning, and changing resolutions. I only get it if I am using HDMI, but when I use DVI, I never get black borders.

I have ATI Radeon HD 5770, my monitor is LG Flatron W2361V.

Well, you've said that you've tried underscan and overscan, but maybe you didn't set it correctly?

Quote:
Go to DTV and under that an option for UnderScan/OverScan. Drag this to 0% and you should get what you're looking for.
To tell you the truth, HDMI is made for televisions mostly. You're better off using DVI/VGA on an lcd monitor.

Even if the overscanning/underscanning is it 0%, i still see borders in game, Also I sometimes use HDMI because for audio. Also I never get black borders when I was using Nvidia cards.
