Mirrors Edge...

Hi all......

installed ''Mirrors Edge'' last night & i gotta say.....ITS ADDICTIVE!!

its graphically super stunning, i can fully max it with 4xAA, though i get a noticeable FPS droop when it gets hectic.??

physX support is very good, & adds no end of realism to the game...

i cant believe my setup is already struggling to hold a constant 60FPS with these newer games........... i can see a Quad on the horizon i think..

Yes it is very addictive. I have a steady 60fps at all times and don't notice any drops in frame rate and mine is maxed out also. Perhaps like you say it must be because of the quad/dual cpu that you experience these drops. But yeah it is a super game to play and it is crisp and clean. Wonderful!

No. physx hardware support is nvidia only It can be run in software mode but the FPS hit is phenomenal. It drops down to 5-6 fps

I fixed the bsod and crossfire issue and all I can say is wow This is a cool game.

I get a steady 60fps @ 1920x1200 8xq AA + vysnc. Although I have to disable physx and use medium textures (this 512mb is killing me texture wise) Even without physx it still looks awseome.

The colour scheme reminds me of a Kubrick film

The only problem is that it's so short.

well let me just add an addition to my above post.......

after installing the latest Windows 7 driver, Mirrors Edge is a completely different game...

im now fully MAXED out @ 8xAA with well over 60fps even in the thick of it..... its surpassed vistas performance by leaps & bounds....

i recommend the 185.81s TO ALL!!

It's one of the few game soundtracks that suits a game really well. It gives a good sense of urgency. It also suits the 'time frame'. Not like some of the WWII shooters with "so called nu-metal" dynamic music.

lol, that's how I was switching from cat 9.3 to 9.4 and patching the game. Difference was night and day
