The graphics problem is solved with the update. View my post here: http://www.sevenforums.com/gaming/25...tml#post698040

Or just get patches here: http://www.ubi.com/us/downloads/info.aspx?dlid=691

I have not gotten an error message when I installed on my system, but I saw the same graphics problem....

FarCry is not native 64x, but it runs fine in Windows 7 64x so the 32x update will be ok

Actually there's this patch - News: Far Cry AMD 64 Patches - GamersHell.com. However If you install it, do not install the 1.4 patch. At least that's my case. Under Vista x64 and now Win 7x64 If I install the 1.4 patch on top of the AMD 64 patch Farcry will give graphical glitches and crash. Running just the AMD 64 patch works without issue. And the AMD 64 patch is 1.3

I also read this somewhere else as well but don't remember where so...

You can also get the Exclusive Content Update Patch there as well. (422MB)

Interesting Sygnus....neither of us have AMD processors and I havent seen any other issues on my comp with it.

I didn't know Farcry was having issues with 64x other than needing the patch. Thanks for posting this.

You could probably run the game on x64 without the AMD 64 patch, but I wouldn't know since I automatically installed the patch when I installed the game.

I usually install the patches one at a time (no reason), so that's how I found out that the 1.4 screws things up when you install it on top of the AMD x64 patch.

My suggestion though (for 64-bit) would be to install the game, patch 1 & 2, then the AMD 64 patch and contents. That's it, Leave the 1.4 patch out and you should be good to go.

Or you could just intall the game and the cumlative 1.4 patch and leave the AMD 64 patch alone, but I haven't done it this way so...
