The problem with the "can you run it?" website is that technically you can run it - but it doesn't tell you if you can run it well.

Unfortunately your only realistic option is to keep reducing the details until it's playable.

As I say in my Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues

Now, a word about Minimum Vs Recommended system specs for games. Most gamers are aware that in order to get the best possible performance out of a game they need to "exceed" the "Recommended" requirements of said game. Notice I said "exceed the Recommended". Check out Fallout 3's System requirements. Really??? I think we can all agree that Minimum means barely plays at the lowest settings. Honestly….Don’t expect too much out of today’s games using "Minimum" System Requirements. My opinion :)
    Here's Mass Effect 2 requirements....

Note: NVIDIA GeForce 7300, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, and 9300; ATI Radeon HD3200 and HD 4350 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to the video and sound card drivers may also be required.
Sorry but as already stated you'll need to update your video card. Sorry

Perhaps I missed it but it would help to know what kind of a system you have??? Laptop? Desktop?

And if this is a laptop, the chances of replacing that card is none if it's intergrated.

System specs would help you, and us, answer your question(s).

    Thanks

we are actually able to infer that he has....

an AMD quad core (more than enough for ME2)
8GB of RAM (more than enough for ME2)
    GeForce 9200 (Not nearly enough)

He just needs a better GFX or run the game on much lower settings....that is all

Yeah, I guess I should have looked at the ME2 configuration utility instead of checking the "My System Specs" link

    My bad :)
