Windows 7: Problem with keyboard

Problem with keyboard

My favourite type of game is FPS, (First Person Shooter) but this is no where near to what I want to tell you.
Since that is my favourite type of game, I'll need to be moving around alot. I use W, A, S and D to move.

I use a keyboard called Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A. At certain times when I want to run away from something, after a few seconds, (usually 2-10) it just stops.

Just encase you want to know, I would like to try to, but Dad says I shouldn't, so I can't. So don't try to give that as a solution!
Just some more info, if it effects my problem, I use a Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0A and I HAVE got Intellitype and Intellipoint for both of them!

I hope you can help because, as I said I LOVE FPSes!

For Games on the PC it is best to use a WIRED Keyboard and Mouse. You can pick up a very cheap set at Wal-Mart. For everyday computing Wireless is good.

First, I forgot to tell you that my dad said that this keyboard supports windows seven, and second, I am not allowed to use any of my money untill I am older. My dad wont buy me a new one because he thinks there is a way to fix this issue.

Edit: I would get rid of it if I could but I can't because then I wont have a keyboard.

If that is the case then you are stuck. I have tried many wireless keyboards & mice and they are great for day to day use, but when it comes to games they leave a lot to be desired. Gaming is intense and you need quick movement fast keystrokes, etc. I have not had a wireless keyboard yet work well with a high end game. So far the best wireless are the high end Bluetooth, they seem to do a good job, although I have been killed (game play) a few times due to a wireless keyboard or mouse issue. When I game I use a WIRED keyboard and mouse and never have any problems.

Edit: A wired keyboard and mouse does not cost much, $10 to $20 at Wal-Mart.

I just found a wired keyboard in the closet in the same room as this computer is in and I plugged it in. I usually test these keyboards on Single Player Survivor on Aliens vs Predator 2010. This keyboard was working perfectly!

I didn't try wired keyboards before because I thought they wouldn't work altogether!

Right now, I am using the keyboard, Office Essentials Multimedia Keyboard and the mouse, Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0A and now I can be the best I can without ANY hardware issues on FPS games! Thanks a bunch for pointing me in that direction and intimidating me to try! Thanks a bunch, WindowsStar!

PS: How do you add REP to someone?
