That sounds like fun, putting half life stuff in the game.

I'd love a sequel with similar game play to the first. I like good puzzle games. Ones where you have to figure out how to sneak past the bad guys instead of going in guns blazing are more challenging.

Hmmm..... 3 Years later and Valve is (still) releasing updates to Portal.

BTW - There's no need to download anything, the updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted.

Looks like I'll have to give the game another go after all these years. Again, great game for those who haven played it.

    Yet another Portal update.

    May 26 Release Notes

Valve hadn't paid this much attention to the game when it was released. They must really want to get people prepped for Portal 2 :)

I guess it'll be to help it on the Mac as it's just been released on there, but the update is pushed to everyone as it's all one game.

They released a proper update for CSS after like 4 years that wasn't just an exploit fix.

And some updates might be coming for Half Life 2 soon as that's being released on Mac today.

It would be mighty nice of them to get Half-Life 3 released. But I suppose they're still waiting for the Hex-Core 24 terabyte processors to drop in price. Those cheap Hex 12's won't run the game

I have some 60Gb of Steam apps on my computer. I've had Steam since it was first released and used for Half Life. The first two years of Steam were no fun, all the bugs are gone now. Steam runs flawlessly on both my XP 32bit and Seven Pro x64 installations. The Steam service that installs into Seven has not been a problem but I do not start Steam when Windows starts up. I run Steam manually from time to time to keep it updated - you could even set that up as a scheduled item.

I've had Portal since the Orange Box. One of the most fun recent releases for Portal is the "Transmission Received" achievement. Very little guidance is given by the game on what this is or how to get it. I found getting that achievement more fun than playing the game the first time. I won't spoil the game but that achievement has something to do with the radios.
