    Thief 3 wont launch

OK heres my prob: I popped my disc in install goes fine, I try to play it and nothing at all happens! This game was made in 2004 ish i believe so my system can certainly run it:
    Specs:
    ATI Raedon HD 4350
    6gb of RAM
windows 7 64 bit home premeium
and 159gb free of a 600gb hard disk.
When I launch it though I dont get any response: no errors, I dont even see a black screen! My computer gets very loud (as if processing alllllooooottt of info) and I go to task manager and t3.exe and t3main.exe are running, after i end them my PC shuts up. Ive tried various no-cds and the exe from the editor pack. Ive also tried running it in compatability and as an admin. Please help

since it is that old you are probably going to have to run it in compatibility mode. to do that right click the executable>properties>compatibility mode>check XP
