Company of Heroes + Modern Warfare 2

Hey, I just got this computer for my gradution present. And I've installed Company of Heroes and Modern Warfare 2 as my only games. I'm having issues running both, most of my specs are in my profile. When i start up the fully patched CoH at first it runs fine, i start up the first mission skip the video and go to the part where I'm in control. I start sending men to the shingle, as order, than I hear a loud noise and the screen like fudges out and the game freezes for a bit the sounds get messed up and sound weird. I hit Ctrl Alt Delete and it comes up fairly quickly i hit task manager and then you hear the game starts to work agian and i exited the game.

    Modern Warfare 2

I start up the game and mess with the reolution, my monitor is 16' x 9' HD and i settle for a 1024 x summin. I play for about 1 minute before a major lag spike occurs and the game freezes for a bit then goes, and gets laggier until i get dropped or disconnected and this goes on for several games. as well as a graphic glitch where something looks like it' stretched out were i shouldn't be in a long line. or the graphics flash and random stuff happens.

I probably should mention that i played about 3 rounds this morning with no problems at ll and on the 3rd game the game crashed.

i am also having a hard time with my keyboard, it doesn't seem to register all my key strokes, or i'm just bad at typing with the new keyboard

Thank in advance for all help

Hi and welcome to the forums .

Try running both programs in compatibility mode, this may make them more stable. Compatibility Mode

This is a good place to start, if you have any more questions please ask.

    Post back with any results.

    Try compatibility with Vista SP2.

ughh, almost woked, i tried th vista service pack 2 and it was close, at first it just seemed laggy, but after half way done he mission the errors came, first it was the parts of the trenches that were shooting in to the air, then it was on the fritz changing landscapes on me. :/ ultimatley it was a fail.

Just make sure that both games have all appropriate updates.

Make sure Windows is totally up to date.

Make sure your Graphics driver is totally correct and up to date (even though it's anew PC it's worth doing).

Just out of interest what's your PC's WEI score (can be found in the games folder on the right side of the start menu); this probably will have nothing to do with it but you never know.

    Congratulations on graduating.

You can get the most up to date GPU driver from NVIDIA DRIVERS 197.45 WHQL but because your PC is new I would imagine it's already installed.

I've exhausted most of my practical knowledge on this topic but I believe some people have had some success with this sort of problem at Game crashes in Windows 7.

I'm sorry there's not much else I can do.
