    How to adjust hardware acceleration in windows 7?


    I want to play a game in my laptop but somehow there is no sound during the gameplay. However, the movies and cutscenes do have sounds... i set the volume to the max in the game yet there's stil nothing... i checked in the net and sum ppl say i have to adjust the hardware acceleration in my comp properties but when i check, there isnt any.. How? im using windows 7 home premium.... sum1 help me pls

    This should help you if it's what youre looking for. Not sure it will help with your sound issues though. Have you installed the latest drivers for your sound card?

    thx but it seems dat i cnt click it since it cnt be highlighted evn... it is unable to b adjusted, i tried to adjust it in my comp properties bt i stil hit a dead end tho

    ok so wats d latest yet driver? coz i jz recently bought my lappy early dis month and evryting shud b the latest already... jz wana make sure so pls tel me =D

    go to my computer>right click>properties>device manager

    you'll see a list of driver,go to sound and update driver

    Another way is to check your sound card,you can go to run>type dxdiag>go to sound tab and you'll see installed sound card. check what brand it is and go to related website to download the driver)
