They are powered and sound excellent. They only have XLR and 1/4" inputs so adapter cables are needed, about $20 or so. I had a pair of cables from one of our old SVHS editing systems that I used to hook them up to my PC.

They can be found online for about $300 for the pair.

Alesis makes a few other small speakers suited for a PC, easy hookup, but I haven't heard them so I can't make any recommendations.

    That sounds good to me

Do you have a sub with them? And what soundcard are they hooked up to?

They look good BTW, and I remember seeing something awhile back about Alesis speakers. Good company.

    Thanks.

I don't have a sub and personally a sub isn't required unless you want that extra booooom.
I have them hooked to a Creative Audigy 2 ZS sound card.

Oh, I see that you are about 5-10 miles away from me as well, if you live in Hampton.

If you ever see me on the road, give me a honk,

Cool, that means my X-FI Ttianium Pro will work with them. Thanks I'll have to do some more research on them now.

And yeah, I'm in Hampton. I'll look for you as I can't forget those plates

    Nice car.

    Thanks.
