Unstable Ping In Cs 1.6 ~HELP~

Hi I recently installed Windows Ultimate 32 bit, I thinks it's a really nice operating system, anyways once i've installed cs 1.6 i noticed how to ping was unstable. It's from 18 ms to 400 down to 300, then back to 18 again. It's REALLY disturbing and this happend after I installed Windows 7 Ultimate. I'm not on wireless, I use a cable. My computer is good, 2 GB ram, 2.00 GHz processor, 320 GB of total memory, nVIDIA GeForce 210, Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller network card, Realtek High Definiton Auido sound card. I have nothing running in the backround when I play, i've updated my drivers.

Every suggestion to fix this problem is welcome. THANKS//Happinezz

Are you using "homegroup" for networking? Homegroup on some systems (especially older computers with little ram) sometimes have connectivity issues.

You can test that by setting up a new network connection using workgroup instead and see if the problem is solved. If it is you can disable IPv6 and kill homegroup.

Let us know if you need help doing this

Yes I am using 'Homegroup' Now i've put it to Workgroup, shall I disable IPv6 now? Oh and one other thing, you made a thread about windows 7 high ping fix, something like that, and you said to go to CMD and type in netsh... something? What?
