At any rate i'd be more than happy to skip over Portal 2 to get Half-Life 3

I don't think we'll be seeing Half Life 3, I think it's more likely we'll be seeing Half Life 2 Episode 3

There was Half Life, which had it's story and engine and gave birth to Counter-Strike, TFC, DOD, etc. All of those games were modifications of the Half Life game.

Then there was Half Life 2. It is built on the Source engine and the first installment was called Episode 1. It's simply the first part of a three part storyline. TF2, CS:S, DOD:S and more are built on the same Source engine but are no longer modifications of Half Life and are now their own independent games.

There's simply no way they're coming out with Half Life 3 before they come out with Episode 3.

Half-Life 3, Episode 3, Half-Episode 3, Whatever 3.... Just get it released already.

They did say a while back they might just skip EP3 and go straight to HL3 though, but whicever, I'm just dieing to see what happens next etc. A week today!

Hopefully Valve will have something to release in the form of HL3, and not just some thrown together garbage.... Looking at you Bioshock 2

Unless they're just hiding it, because what else could it be really? Half Life for the PSP?

Well I guess we won't know till next week. Until then its just speculation. Reading that link doesn't give me any hope, so....
