Games not playing on full screen

    Hi,

My previous operating system (Vista Home Premium) crashed and I lost everything. I also misplaced the installation disc so I just decided to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. Everything works fine aside from the games don't accommodate the full desktop screen even though it is already set to full mode. I can see black screen on both left and right sides of the screen.

I already searched this forum for the solutions but still no luck. My laptop is Dell Inspiron 125 and my processor is Intel Core 2 Duo. I don't know if that helps...

Additional information: I boot into safe mode and all the games display fine.

Thanks in advance to those who can help. :)

Yeah I know. I first saw the graphics section then after I posted, I saw the Gaming section. I created the same thread thinking I can trash the other one. Apologies. It won't happen again. :)
