Gamestop is suppose to offer some trade-in deals with older Xbox 360 units for newer ones starting next week.

As what the offers will be, I have no clue. Hoping I won't have to pay more then $100 if I trade in my perfectly fine (and working perfectly) Xbox 360 Elite.
Hey, do you have any more info on that? My elite is in perfect condition (minus some dust).

I don't really like the new one all that much, but the hardware is better, so it might be worth it.

    However, glossy = gross
Might have to paint it a sexy flat black.

Not only is it a fingerprint and dust magnet (more so from the fingerprints), shiny black has always looked stupid.

I don't even like glossy black cars..... I would rather have a flat black one (which is not sold anywhere)

I just picked up a used 360 arcade today from Gamestop, just so that I could play some Alan Wake. Probably take it in Monday, when I get my check, and either return it, or trade it in, and grab a new one. I agree though, I would much rather it have been flat black as opposed to glossy...

I guess companies aren't aware of the whole "fingerprint magnet" thing...

It looks a lot better than the original 360. Its a shame my partner already has an original because its looks out of place now next to my PS3. I quite like the glossy black, I think it would look great next to my glossy PS3; even though it does collect dust its easy to wipe with a dust cloth :)

    EDIT: Gamestop.com - Trade-In Offers
I'll just sell my Xbox 360 Elite on eBay for $200ish (or higher if I can). To be honest, paying only $100 for a new 360 that has WiFi and a 250GB HDD is worth it since Wireless N adapters and 250GB HDD's for the 360 are extremely expensive.

Either way though, gamestop giving me $40 for my 120GB HDD and giving $30 for a 20GB? I see something wrong there.

    • XB360 Hard Drive 60 GB - $35
    • XB360 Hard Drive 120 GB - $40
    • XB360 Hard Drive 250 GB - $50
    • XB360 Memory Card 64 MB - $10

Returned it today. Apparently the new model is popular. Went to 5 different Gamestops, and they were all sold out. Gonna head to Best Buy or Frys on Monday to get mine, I guess. Have to finish Alan Wake. :)

Try the Microsoft Store. They sell it on there. If I cannot get it elsewhere for cheaper I'll buy it from the MS store since my bank gives me 5% cash back on purchases from the MS store.
