Microsoft announces new Xbox 360 Apparently it has wifi and a 250GB hard drive for the same price as the current Elites. A couple of pictures below. Guess I know what I'm getting with my next paycheck.

I would advise either a service plan or waiting a while to make sure this hardware is more reliable than the original 360. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-Built in July 2009 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Q9550 2.83Ghz OC'd to 3.40Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R rev. 1.1, F12 BIOS Memory 8GB G.Skill PI DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12 timings Graphics Card EVGA 1280MB Nvidia GeForce GTX570 Sound Card Realtek ALC899A 8 channel onboard audio Monitor(s) Displays 23" Acer x233H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard ABS M1 Mechanical Mouse Logitech G9 Laser Mouse PSU Corsair 620HX modular Case Antec P182 Cooling stock Hard Drives Intel X25-M 80GB Gen 2 SSD

Yeah, I was thinking about that...but the Elites have been very reliable. I'm honestly thinking that MS learned a lot from the RROD debacles, and took their time with this one. I had a launch day 360 that lasted me until last year, so you never really know.
I kinda miss the curve that the old Xbox had, and this one is a little to shiny...but that 250GB hard drive and Wifi is nice. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Model #: BRMD10926 OS Windows 8 Pro x64 with WMC CPU AMD FX-4130 Quad 3.8Ghz Motherboard Asus M5A97 R2.0 Memory 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays HP w185e Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse Onn optical mouse PSU 500W Case XION XON-180 Cooling Stock Hard Drives WD Raptor 7200 1TB Internet Speed 10Mbps DSL Other Info HP Pavilion p2-1033wb: Win7 Home Premium x64, AMD E-300 APU 1.3 Ghz dual core, 3GB DDR3, 500GB Hitachi HDD |

I still prefer the old matte finish of the Elites though. Haven't seen any pictures of it horizontally yet, but it probably looks better that way than vertically. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Model #: BRMD10926 OS Windows 8 Pro x64 with WMC CPU AMD FX-4130 Quad 3.8Ghz Motherboard Asus M5A97 R2.0 Memory 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays HP w185e Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse Onn optical mouse PSU 500W Case XION XON-180 Cooling Stock Hard Drives WD Raptor 7200 1TB Internet Speed 10Mbps DSL Other Info HP Pavilion p2-1033wb: Win7 Home Premium x64, AMD E-300 APU 1.3 Ghz dual core, 3GB DDR3, 500GB Hitachi HDD |

My original console lasted 3 years almost exactly. I bought a second one (arcade) and it's been solid and so much quieter than my original. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-Built in July 2009 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Q9550 2.83Ghz OC'd to 3.40Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R rev. 1.1, F12 BIOS Memory 8GB G.Skill PI DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12 timings Graphics Card EVGA 1280MB Nvidia GeForce GTX570 Sound Card Realtek ALC899A 8 channel onboard audio Monitor(s) Displays 23" Acer x233H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard ABS M1 Mechanical Mouse Logitech G9 Laser Mouse PSU Corsair 620HX modular Case Antec P182 Cooling stock Hard Drives Intel X25-M 80GB Gen 2 SSD

That's another thing that they mentioned at E3. This new Xbox is supposed to be whisper quiet which, if true, will be nice. My computers noisy enough without my Xbox adding in it's two cents. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Model #: BRMD10926 OS Windows 8 Pro x64 with WMC CPU AMD FX-4130 Quad 3.8Ghz Motherboard Asus M5A97 R2.0 Memory 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays HP w185e Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse Onn optical mouse PSU 500W Case XION XON-180 Cooling Stock Hard Drives WD Raptor 7200 1TB Internet Speed 10Mbps DSL Other Info HP Pavilion p2-1033wb: Win7 Home Premium x64, AMD E-300 APU 1.3 Ghz dual core, 3GB DDR3, 500GB Hitachi HDD |

Yeah, i'm tired of noisy computers and such...so I build 'em quiet these days. If they aren't quiet, I don't want 'em. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-Built in July 2009 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Q9550 2.83Ghz OC'd to 3.40Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R rev. 1.1, F12 BIOS Memory 8GB G.Skill PI DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12 timings Graphics Card EVGA 1280MB Nvidia GeForce GTX570 Sound Card Realtek ALC899A 8 channel onboard audio Monitor(s) Displays 23" Acer x233H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard ABS M1 Mechanical Mouse Logitech G9 Laser Mouse PSU Corsair 620HX modular Case Antec P182 Cooling stock Hard Drives Intel X25-M 80GB Gen 2 SSD

The only reason I'm getting a console is because the PC game market is starting to disappear. The game I was most excited for recently, Alan Wake, got cancelled for the PC at the last minute. I still want to play it, so I'm getting a 360. At least Dead Rising 2 is coming out on the PC, at least it is as of now...who knows a month from now. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Model #: BRMD10926 OS Windows 8 Pro x64 with WMC CPU AMD FX-4130 Quad 3.8Ghz Motherboard Asus M5A97 R2.0 Memory 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays HP w185e Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard HP Keyboard Mouse Onn optical mouse PSU 500W Case XION XON-180 Cooling Stock Hard Drives WD Raptor 7200 1TB Internet Speed 10Mbps DSL Other Info HP Pavilion p2-1033wb: Win7 Home Premium x64, AMD E-300 APU 1.3 Ghz dual core, 3GB DDR3, 500GB Hitachi HDD Microsoft announces new Xbox 360 problems?
