| | 3D Realms bids fans a simple farewell Quote: Capping off a week that saw the developer close its doors after 21 years of operation and its ridiculously long-in-development Duke Nukem Forever left unfinished, 3D Realms has updated its website with a group staff photo and a brief, somber goodbye to gamers. Community manager Joe Siegler made what is likely his final update to the defunct company's website, posting simply, "Thanks for being fans and for all your support." |

| | That will make allot of people waiting for the new release very unhappy, I was was sort of looking forward to it myself, I always laughed at the humour in the game and the sexist remarks plus the game play wasn't to bad either. | | This really sucks hard... 3D Realms was my favorite game company of all time. Duke Nukem is the reason I play video games. I use to play it all the time and loved every moment of it. I never thought I would see the day when they would close their doors. This recession is taking people's childhood memories with it and it sucks. |
