    Error 1935

    I recently purchased Napoleon Total War, however it won't let me finish the install. I put set the language,agree to the terms and then let it 'install', however about 30seconds in I receive the error message:

    Microsoft Visual C++
    Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly
    'Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP,type type="win32", version="8.0.50727.762", publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a 1e 18e3b", processorArchitecture="x86"
    Please Refer to Help and Support for more information

    I have done everything, I have google'd it, I have searched and searched but have found nothing that helps.

    Please could anyone help?

    Thanks in advance

    Ok, well from searching "Napoleon Total War", it did not come up, however when I looked at the back of the game box, where it says "Recommended System Requirements" the OS's that are shown are: Windows Vista/XP/Windows 7

    OK square two. Do you have 32 bit or 64 bit. If 64 bit is the game compatible with that.

    It's a 64bit, and from searching it did not even come up as being incompatible, however the back of the box doesn't specify whether it is compatible with either 32 or 64bit.

    If it was incompatible should it just not start to install in the first place?

    I think it is comptatible and I also think that if it were not it would start to install, then stop as yours has done
